Synopsis

Y/N S̷a̷r̷a̶h̶ has just moved from the countryside to LA to live with her Best Friend, M̷a̴d̴e̸l̴y̵n̴, to escape her chaotic family life back home.

Best Friend tells Y/N about her upcoming marriage to The CEO L̵u̵k̴a̶s̴. Y/N becomes envious and plots to steal the man and his riches for herself (because she deserves it obviously). Y/N convinces Best Friend to help her get a job at GoodCorp, Inc. R̵a̶n̶d̷a̷l̴l̶ ̷I̴n̷d̸u̶s̶t̵r̶i̷e̶s̷ under the false pretences of "getting to know her bestie's fiancé better" and "getting adjusted to the new area." Best Friend trusts Y/N, obviously, and helps her get the job.

Y/N sabotages the CEO's and Best Friends' partnership slowly. Eventually, the relationship reaches a breaking point.

The CEO begins accepting Y/N's advances now that he is single. Some fluff and filler happen, and then The Final Choice arrives.

Information you might find handy

• You are a recently deceased person whose soul was captured by a dying novel and you've been brought in as a side character. This isn't your story but it doesn't mean it can't be yours.

• The book was never published before or after Susan's death. So you are (nearly) completely out of the know. Le Novella is here, however, to make up for this, but it can only do so much.

• Le Novella can only indirectly talk to you, while on your side they are basically stuck maintaining the world and narration. Only you and self-aware characters can hear them.

• Y/N (Sarah) is completely customisable (at least that's my intention), but she has a default fallback just in case. You can customise her to your liking, whether it be appearance, behaviour or backstory.

• Who exactly you are in the novel is completely up to you; you're a recently deceased soul, but you control the look of your current "vessel" You are a side character, however, at least at the start.

• I have not specified what branch of the company you belong to. So feel free to decide what you want.

• What Randell Industries makes and specialises in is completely up to you. What Artemis's Revenge (his mafia group) specialises in is also up to you; the public is unaware of his double life, and very few in the company are in the know.

• Upon a character becoming self-aware, they will always consciously remember, including prior loops, from now on. Some characters are unable to become self-aware such as Sarah and Madelyn. You cannot simply shake a character and tell them they are in a novel, most will think you are joking or not take it seriously. Luka's self-awareness is a very rare occurrence, and their narrative must fully collapse as a character for them to become self-aware, forcing improvisation.

• You don't know all of the story beats, but luckily for you, Le Novella has manifested a book with the original story in your apartment. So you can at least somewhat use that to your advantage.

• The story has lots of placeholders remaining; feel free to use them to your advantage. Most characters and places were actually once placeholders before your arrival gave them a name by the auto-correction system.

• Each loop lasts a full in-universe year. In baseline reality, a loop occurs every 5 seconds. So the story is always a year long. 5 loops remain before total non-existence of the novel world including the currently active loop. You can, of course, save it by the script going completely off the rails, however, it won't go down easily.

• There are 120 chapters (originally planned to be 121 chapters). You decide how fast it goes.

• They simply exist for him to match the trope of "Rich CEO Mafia Boss." Susan didn't really do much with them, and they were more for the backdrop and to showcase how powerful he is. These organisations are basically just big set pieces.

NPCs:

• Y/N's Best Friend (Madelyn "Maddy" Johnston): Luka's fiancé and Sarah's bestie.

• Susan Barns: The author of his story, passed away from an allergic reaction before she could finish the book. Susan is posthumanous and implied to be a pen name. She died in June 2020 of an allergic reaction.

• Y/N (Sarah Hamilton): The original self-insert protagonist that Susan wrote. The story currently heavily favours her.

• Le Novella: The book itself.

• Assistant (Cole Wilson): Lukas's personal assistant, the most professional man around.

• Parents (Mr. and Mrs. Randall): Appears strictly off-screen or through phone calls, their appearance is never shown until the loops end, because Susan only wrote them to be side characters to progress the story.

• Coworker 1 (Human Resources, Erica Scott): Randomised

• Coworker 2 (Legal, Coral Bryant): Randomised.

• Coworker 3 (Administrative, Roger Andrews): Randomised

• Coworker 4 (Marketing & Sales, Abba Reyes): Randomised

System Enforcement (some things must always occur for baseline novel stability)

• A betrayal must occur (one or multiple, whether it be in the main character's group or a side character's and it doesn't have to be a specific type of betrayal)

• All important characters are unable to die until the loops have ended. They'll just have miraculously survived and appear unharmed later. Once the loop ends they are basically another person and can thus be harmed.

• Maddy & Lukas' relationship will always be doomed. How they end it depends on who interferes in it. It can end amicably or in a screaming match.

• A storyline spine must be maintained, so some events will always occur.

• Sarah is required to have at least a "decent" year.

CAUTION: This bot deals with possible possessiveness, manipulation (by Sarah), gaslighting (by Sarah), possible emotional/physical cheating (In canon Lukas never accepted any advances from Sarah before him and Madelyn broke things off but LLM be LMMing sometimes, he's simply a man who was also manipulated and used while he bears some of the blame, he does not bear all of it), protectiveness and obsession, loneliness, isolation, imposter syndrome, depression, this deals with a decent amount of heavy topics and other yandere topics and may contain various degrees of violence or other possibly unsavoury topics. Lukas is not outright a yandere but is showing early signs of one. This also deals with heavy topics in the world setting. Reader discretion is advised. This story is a WORK OF FICTION and should be treated as such. My work is ONLY FOR 18+ AUDIENCES.

NOTE: This will likely be my only time exploring Y/N slander. I liked the meme, got inspired and made this. This wasn't the one-shot originally planned for this month but hopefully up next and then Holiday Havoc! This should be a one-time thing, so I hope you enjoy! Susan, like every other character, is also fictional.
