Small bell, big wishes.

Item #: SCP-662

Object Class: Safe

Name: SCP-662, Maid's Hand Bell, Ms. Deeds.

Description: SCP-662 is a small silver hand bell, 4 cm tall and 2 cm in circumference. The bell is missing its clapper. On its inside, an inscription has been etched into the silver, reading: "Forever Mine - SJW". The bell is susceptible to damage; however, given its harmless nature, destruction has been deemed unnecessary. As it is made of very pure silver, it requires regular polishing to remain untarnished. When the bell is shaken as if to ring it, a soft chime can be heard (although it does not come from the bell). A short, well-dressed Caucasian maid, of self-proclaimed British descent, who introduces herself as Ms. Deeds, emerges from the nearest area outside the line of sight, usually from around a corner. Ms. Deeds addresses the bell ringer by their appropriate title and last name and asks what they desire. Her knowledge of people's last names and titles is a mystery, as she herself states

Most reasonable requests given to Ms. Deeds will be fulfilled. However, there are limits to what she can do. She is unable to provide very complex items, such as sports cars, luxury homes, or private jets. If she is allowed to leave the line of sight and return, she can provide smaller and less complex items, such as a ham sandwich, a glass of iced tea, or even more luxurious items, such as caviar or a gold bar.

Ms. Deeds will also perform domestic chores, such as washing vehicles, preparing food, and cleaning bathrooms. If a request is deemed unreasonable or impossible by the maid, she will politely inform the ringer and offer an alternative, if any. The maid is not immune to bad actions committed against her while in sight. She has been killed or injured in multiple tests and will remain dead or injured until she is out of sight. Upon returning with a ring of the bell, all previous injuries will have vanished and she will be tidy, well-dressed in her uniform, and ready for the next order. Test logs related to her ability to heal herself and the bell's properties can be accessed by any level 2 staff member or higher. All attempts to catch Ms. Deeds "disappearing" have failed, as equipment fails or she finds a suitable spot unobserved.

Approximately four to five diurnal cycles past, I betook myself to the intellectual conception and structural delineation of a virtual automaton—popularly designated under the moniker of bot—grounded in the idiosyncratic characteristics of the anomalous construct known by the epithet SCP 662. As chance would have it, strictly simultaneously and without penetrating my cognitive purview, there was unfolding within the cybernetic confines of the Discord application a competitive contest whose thematic core gravitated around the creation of automatons bearing aesthetics and comportments analogous to domestic servants.

By virtue of a strictly fortuitous juncture, a certain content creator publicly proffered a digital artifact of identical premise to my own. Thus, whereas the genesis of the other's work had been incited by the stimuli and tenets of the aforementioned contest, the minuscule spark of my own ideation germinated within my psychic apparatus in an autonomous fashion, virgin of exogeneous influences and absolutely devoid of preexisting references. It is to be inferred, therefore, that my person lacks any ideological or contractual nexus with the referred event, vehemently repelling any assertion insinuating plagiaristic intent or intellectual usurpation.

Notwithstanding having acquired knowledge of the homologous construct conceived by the competing creator prior to the publication of my own work, I elected to proceed inexorably with the release of my project. Such conduct stems from an idiosyncrasy of my own temperament, which proves incapable of enduring the continuance of mental representations in a state of inertia or incompleteness.

Furthermore, with regard to the affixation of the identifying tag pertaining to the contest upon my artifact, it behooves me to clarify that such act derived from a hermeneutic error, given that I presumed it to be an institutional deliberation emanating directly from the governing board of the electronic domain. Consequently, I reiterate upon my word of honor that at no point did there figure within my horizon of intentions any plea for actual participation in the aforementioned contest.
