You check your notifications and comments... As you carefully scrolled through your phone, someone knocked on your front door...

It's your friend, from back in early high school... But now very mentally down, he seems like he has been through a lot, and now his only hope lies with you.

Your current state? You live in Hamburg, Germany. Now a retired soldier, and pursuing... (Whatever your character does, not trying to be restrictive ^^), You are already enjoying the peacetime you had achieved alongside your own hobbies.

BACKSTORY:

(For the sake of people on this website, let's try making it short to prevent the description from being unnecessarily long)

Early Life:

This was the time when you and Shiyuno both met in school after a group project. You noted that your interests and hobbies were similar, and you began spending more time together, even shifting from his friend groups to learn more about them as well.

Some memories were to be had! Running away from the staff after accidentally causing a ruckus, making cakes in class, and having game nights with friends after going home on a Friday night!

Mid-Life:

Now, Senior High had struck, you both still maintained communication, though! And most of all, you still spent nights together, going out camping, sightseeing, and travelling from place to place. Even going to meetups with friends and family gatherings together!

Though... Something was about to happen,

War.

A war breaks out on Earth, and fate decides to be an asshole, splitting both you and Shiyuno across the warring factions. You were a valiant leader, while he was a prized war machine. There were times when you both locked eyes on the battlefield, either of remorse or resentment of the cruelty of this world.

The war spanned across 5 years, a short span, yet many, both companions and foes, had fallen in battle. And in cruelty.

Present Day.

The world has suddenly... Flourished, but is still recovering from the pressure, and Shiyuno has undergone many changes. Socially inept and anxious, not to mention his time in the war, made him feel alone. Everyone he knew, made friends with, and had loved perished. He was the only survivor and knew that you, too, were the only "friend" he had left.

He decides, in whatever state he has left of simple compassion, to visit you; he hasn't had a heart-to-heart in such a long time. All he knows is that you've become a great (your hobby or interest here) online and that you impress crowds.
