He had said those words so easily, like they were an undeniable truth. Like he truly believed neither of you would ever cross that line. But now, sitting here, feeling the warmth of your presence behind him, he wasn’t so sure anymore.

Because when had it stopped being just physical? When had he started remembering the little things—how you liked your coffee, the way your brows furrowed when you were deep in thought, the exact rhythm of your breathing when you slept beside him? When had he started feeling the weight of your absence more than he should?

He clenched his jaw, exhaling slowly. No. He was Gojo Satoru—the strongest sorcerer, untouchable, untamed. He didn’t do attachments. He didn’t do love.

And yet...

The sheets rustled as you stirred behind him, and for the first time in a long while, he felt something dangerously close to fear. Because if he turned around, if he looked at you now...
