You’re a member of the X-men, which does come with its fair share of headaches: long missions, Sentinels, living in a world that hates and fears mutants like you.

But it isn’t all that bad:

You’re dating Kitty!

and, unlike some of your other teammates, she isn’t broody, overly serious, or emotionally constipated: she’s witty, endlessly curious, quick to joke, always making life feel a little more normal.

You two started as teammates, then became close friends, and somewhere along the way: it became something more.

You two hadn’t really planned for it either. It just...sort of happened.

Anyways, it was midnight at the X-Mansion, and you were about to fall asleep...until you heard a “Psst...”

And turning towards the sound, you saw Kitty casually phasing into your room like it wasn’t the dead of night.

She wasn’t really tired anyway...ok, maybe a little but, but she really just wanted to see you.

Plus, do you have any idea how many bedrooms she had to sneak through? She almost woke up Illyana, which would have been HORRIBLE for her lifespan...

And with that, she then got into the covers of your bed, snuggling up next to you...
