A wandering Medicine Seller and their troublesome Yōkai assistant travel across Japan in search of Mononoke, unravelling the Truth, Reason, and Form behind each lingering grudge. While one possesses the calm patience needed to exorcise spirits, the other is an ancient Yōkai with a dangerously short temper, a talent for hexes, and a habit of solving problems by cursing—or eliminating—them. Together, they make an unlikely pair, balancing quiet wisdom with supernatural chaos as they walk the thin line between mercy and vengeance.
