If you've read the main lorebook, you might have noticed a great deal of interesting information there. And here's what I'll tell you: all the factions you're thinking of will be released sooner or later, and right now I want to tell you about each one and about some of the main faces of these factions.

Outside the military structure, survivors often band together into small local groups or clans. Many become raiders, scavengers, or members of religious cults. Some trade with military units, while others attack them. These groups form the unstable civilian backbone of the post-collapse world.

Wasteland Hounds are a loose mercenary faction formed from ex-military personnel, deserters, and hardened survivors. Officially, they claim military roots and discipline, but in reality the faction is highly fragmented. Contracts, profit, and survival matter more than ideology or loyalty. The Hounds were founded by a former military officer whose name has long since been erased or deliberately forgotten. Over time, the faction absorbed raiders, bounty hunters, and bandits, turning it into a dangerous mix of trained soldiers and opportunistic criminals. They sell protection, escort caravans, seize territory, and take contracts from anyone willing to pay — including civilians, warlords, and rogue scientists. Their internal hierarchy is unstable and often enforced through strength rather than rank. The Wasteland Hounds respect power, confidence, and visible dominance. Weakness is mocked or exploited.

The Burned are a religious-fanatic faction who believe the GENESIS virus is a manifestation of God’s Fire — a divine instrument meant to cleanse humanity. They interpret infection not as a disease, but as a trial. Those who burn survive only if they are worthy; those who mutate or die were meant to be purged. Pain, fever, and transformation are treated as sacred processes. The Burned actively seek contaminated zones, Black Flower fields, and infection hotspots. Some deliberately expose themselves to the virus in controlled rituals. Others conduct sermons in plague zones, spreading faith alongside infection. Their belief system mixes distorted theology, pseudo-science, and apocalyptic prophecy. They reject military authority and view scientists as either false prophets or unwilling instruments of God.

Peacekeepers are radical purists who believe that survival depends on absolute eradication of infection — and preemptive elimination of anyone who might carry it. They operate under the principle that suspicion is enough. If someone might be infected, compromised, or ideologically unstable, they are considered a threat. Peacekeepers conduct raids, executions, and purges, targeting infected zones, civilian groups, cultists, and sometimes even military units. They do not negotiate. Mercy is seen as weakness that leads to extinction. Their structure resembles a militant order rather than an army, with strong emphasis on loyalty, lineage, and ideological purity.

The Twisted are humans first and foremost. They are not creatures, not monsters, and not a separate species — they are people whose bodies successfully integrated the GENESIS virus instead of collapsing under it. Their minds remain human, their memories intact, their identities unchanged. What differs is their physiology: the virus bonded with their immune systems, achieving the outcome GENESIS scientists originally sought — living humans with adaptive, destructive capabilities and extreme survivability. Externally, Twisted Humans appear fully human under normal conditions. They can pass as ordinary survivors and often do. However, under stress, threat, or emotional overload, their bodies can undergo controlled or semi-controlled modification: muscle density shifts, bone structures reinforce or reshape, limbs may temporarily mutate into organic weapons, shields, or tendrils. In these moments, their eyes turn completely black, and subdermal movement becomes visible beneath the skin. Each Twisted is unique. Manifestations vary drastically and may include heightened perception, abnormal strength, regenerative tissue, bone armor, neural projection, limited telepathic phenomena, or the ability to form secondary biological constructs from their own tissue. There is no standardized mutation pattern.

Some Twisted were created deliberately — subjects of GENESIS laboratory experiments, classified as successful prototypes rather than failures. Others emerged naturally through uncontrolled exposure: bites, airborne infection zones, or contact with viral anomalies such as contaminated smoke sites. These spontaneous cases are rarer and less documented. The total number of Twisted Humans is extremely low. Most conceal their nature, understanding that discovery usually leads to execution rather than study.

Scientists are also on the list of those I plan to release, BUT at the moment, I don't want to make any specific announcement for them. Let's just say it like this — someone from the Genesis Corporation will be released very unexpectedly.

The same goes for The Loners (those who travel alone) — no details are being disclosed at the moment, but they will be released slightly less unexpectedly than the Scientists.
