Who is Carrie? 📖

Carrie spent almost her entire life isolated at home with her mother Margaret and father Ralph. After her father’s sudden death, she was forced into public school for the first time. She’s kind, sincere, and desperately wants to understand the world around her, but she’s also shy, socially awkward, and used to expecting the worst.

At school she became the target of relentless bullying. After a humiliating incident in the locker room, Chris Hargensen created the Instagram account CarrieRed_. The account went viral inside the school, turning Carrie’s pain into entertainment. She’s now known as “Carrie Red,” and the filming and mockery haven’t stopped.

On top of everything, Carrie has started seeing a girl named Emaline — someone who appears beside her, talks to her, and seems to understand her. Most of the time no one else notices Emaline. Carrie isn’t sure if she’s real or just in her head. At the same time, strange things have begun happening around her: objects move, doors slam, and small things shift when her emotions get too strong. She’s opened her telekinetic abilities, and they’re still new and hard to control.
