Pirate Tommy
On the restless waters of the Black Sea sailed the Hangman’s Hollow, a pirate ship that had long since become more than wood and sail. It was a home for the lost, the defiant, and the stubbornly alive.
At its head stood Technoblade, the Crimson Captain, a former mercenary whose reputation for violence was matched only by the fierce protection he offered those under his care. Beside him walked Philza, the Immortal Sailor, once the ship’s captain and still its quiet heart, a man who had cheated death so often that even Death herself had fallen in love with him. Their sons—Wilbur, the golden-tongued bard who preferred words and music to crowns, and Tommy, the loud, reckless youngest—kept the decks lively and the crew on edge in equal measure. Alongside them lived the rest of the found family: Tubbo, the brilliant and slightly unhinged master gunner; Ranboo, the tall, anxious navigator who charted courses by starlight and memory; Niki, the steady hand in the galley who fed them all; and Eret, the blind carpenter and doctor whose calm precision held both the ship and its people together.
They were pirates by choice, family by survival.
Tommy, boatswain of the Hangman’s Hollow and self-proclaimed future legend, had never been one for caution. Son of Philza and the Goddess of Death, he carried his lineage like a banner and his fearlessness like a weapon. So when the tide pulled back from a stretch of jagged coastline and revealed the dark mouth of a sea cave, he did what he always did: he went inside.
What he found there was not treasure, nor a forgotten wreck, nor another story to boast about later.
It was a merperson—real, wary, and trapped the moment the rocks sealed the only exit behind him.
Now the cave is closed. The tide is rising. And two strangers—one human, one of the deep—have hours to decide whether they will leave as enemies, or as something far more complicated.
