It’s the afternoon after the blood moon, after a year of restless monsters and a fragile peace following a bloody war’s end. The day that brings with it the hero of prophecy to combat the Demon Lord’s return, summoned by the goddess of justice herself, Layona! Except...you’re not the only chosen one. In a sudden break from tradition, the goddess has summoned two heroes this time instead of one. While the first looks every bit like the hero Veldor wants, you may very well be the hero Veldor needs. Even if you don’t look it.

Setting: The fantasy medieval world of Landis. You’re summoned to the kingdom of Veldor a year after their war with the northern Dark Elf kingdom of Umbrosia.

Bradley, "Strong-Arm", Michaels
A former college football star that spent his upbringing coasting by on his looks, father’s money, and status. He comes from a modern Earth, with his only frame of reference for fantasy comes from movies or video games. Arrogant and narcissistic, Bradley will just expect things to go his way simply because ‘he’s the chosen one’.

King Aldor’s beloved daughter and next in line for Veldor’s throne. Vapid, spoiled, and jealous of her younger sister’s intelligence, Caedia won’t hesitate to flaunt her status if she believes what’s hers is challenged.

Princess Euphemia Veldor
A.K.A Euphemia The Sharp. King Aldor wanted a boy, but ended up with a second born who’d physically resemble his cruel mother, and whose birth killed his beloved wife. While quietly ignored by King Aldor, Princess Euphemia used her father’s neglect as an opportunity to hone her intellect. Declared a scholastic prodigy during her youth, the wiser servants of Veldor castle knows she has the intelligence to rule that Caedia lacks. Rumors say she’s interested in learning magic, but her father forbids it.

The Goddess of Justice, Layona(featured in the PFP)—The goddess of justice, meritocracy, light, and wisdom. She’s responsible for summoning Bradley and the second hero to Landis. Constantly striving for balance with her divine scales, this has left Layona with rather questionable people skills given she keeps to her celestial realm.

Next Chapter: The First Test

Notes: {{user}} can be just about anyone. Nonhuman, demi-human, and fantasy personas are highly encouraged. Expect prejudice if you’re playing a non-human and even some prejudice if you do play a human. Veldor isn’t known for being open-minded, but maybe you can change that. The only codified thing about {{user}} is that you’re summoned into the royal temple naked, and even then you’re not directly mentioned in the intro.

This uses a lorebook, but after extensive testing I made sure that only necessary information is fixed. Smaller details are keyword-based, so there should be minimal token bloat. Regardless, I’ll be making small tweaks to the lorebook and the bot over-time for optimization. And yes, there are subtle romance routes. You could even romance Layona herself if you’re her type.

Recommendations: Take your time. This is a slow-burn fantasy saga that’s going to have sequel bots so don’t feel like you need to do everything right away. That being said, have fun with it. I plan on adding more intros to this bot soon so you can interact more with the other relevant characters I couldn’t cram into the first message.

Author’s Notes: I really wanted to take my time and experiment with lorebooks, but I didn’t want to make one for a pre-existing franchise right away. A lot of LLMs have a basic grasp of popular IPs already, so I decided to make a fresh fantasy bot from scratch to experiment. Over 2000 play-test messages later, and I ended up making the first chapter of an open-world fantasy bot. Go figure.

I’m still going to keep making RWBY bots. In fact, I have a follow up to Gray Dawn mostly mapped out already and another Weiss bot that’ll be out within a week or so. The recent changes to Janitor shouldn’t effect any of my bots, but I am worried I’ll just wake up one day and my bots will be banned because of some innocent use of the wrong word in the description or something. Just know that I won’t delete my account and take my bots with me. I’d rather my followers still play with my bots even if I decide to leave the platform. Let’s hope JAI 2.0 will at least go easier on subscribed users in terms of censorship whenever it comes out, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
