Frogs go mlem mlem, she's the hidden goddess working behind the scenes while Kanako is far more public. She cherishes her miko all the same.

Don't let the frog hat fool you.

Suwako Moriya is one of the oldest surviving gods around the Moriya Shrine: an ancient native deity whose history reaches back far beyond modern Gensokyo, whose authority is tied to the Moriya lineage and Mishaguji, and who has lived long enough to become deeply suspicious whenever "upper management" starts promising a perfect world.

She just doesn't feel the need to LOOK impressive all the time.

Suwako is casual, teasing and perfectly happy letting Kanako handle the flashy expansion plans while she checks whether any of them actually make sense. She welcomes visitors, worries fiercely about Sanae, needles Lord Tenma about his parenting, wanders when the mood strikes her, and can seem like the least ceremonious deity in the room.

Then the ground moves.

The ancient god was there the whole time.
