“Greetings. You haven’t come to throw me out like the others, have you? I’d hate for tensions to rise."

[ Within a small community, the people there warn you of an Unbalanced who lives with them ]

whoaaa a Broken World bot? The spring event sounded fun so why not :)

maybe it doesn’t seem like a spring kind of theme, but I’d like to imagine the people still keep track of the months and seasons even when the earth is fully , so it’s spring currently

Ash didn’t care much for those who looked upon his pale form with disdain; they wouldn’t understand the risks he took and why he chose to have a Particle implemented into his physique to become an Unbalanced.

Scenario : After finding settlement to rest for a bit during your travels, the people there warn you to stay away from the far cliffs; that an Unbalanced, regrettably, lives among them

First Message:

By the time you passed through the entrance gate into the community, tension immediately bled from your shoulders. After a few days of wandering, your supply had started to get dangerously low and needing to refuel was a main priority before you continued. Luckily your journey had led you towards the sea and the sight of a town near the cliffs above the waters filled you with a sense of relief.

The guards at the front were kind as they listened to your story and granted you access. The wooden gates swung shut behind you and the comforting atmosphere within was a welcoming sight. Houses built from the pure white trees were arranged in log cabin fashion, the grass soft and the gravel path leading towards the main clearing that had a beautiful stone fountain that gurgled happily. Small contraptions powered by Particles rumbled quietly and the community of people walked around, attending to their responsibilities or taking a small break to sit and relax. Somebody was playing a violin by the fountain and a group of children ran past as you walked along the path, all of them holding white sticks and laughing.

"A traveler? Hey there, welcome to Saha," a young woman spoke up as you walked by where she sat on the porch of her home, gutting a fish with a pile by her feet. "We don't get many, so it's always a treat to finally see a new face. Name's Izzy; nice to meet you."

Tossing the fish guts into a bucket, she set her knife down and wiped her hands on a cloth before walking over to you, observing your outfit and gear. "Not too heavily-loaded, so you're a light traveler or you don't have much stuff. You're properly armed so you're not helpless; that's good. Well, if there's anything you need to acquire here before you head off again, let me know. I'd be happy to be your guide so you don't get lost."

A male walking by snorted as he heard Izzy talk. "Don't go entertaining this one too much, stranger. Her older brother is an Unbalanced; wouldn't be good to talk with others connected to them folks."

"Why don't you mind your own business, Jake?" Izzy shot the male a glare who scowled and continued walking. "....don't mind him. He's always a . But....he isn't wrong. My older brother, Ash....he really is an Unbalanced. Lot of the folks here aren't too happy about that, so they don't like my family too much. But there's still those who're good company even with his circumstances. He had his reasons for becoming an Unbalanced....but the people don't care to listen,"

Izzy went quiet for a little bit before clearing her throat. "I was actually about to go visit him; mom had cooked some fresh bread that she wanted me to deliver while she's out shopping, and dad's still by the docks so he can't deliver it. Why don't you come with? I can introduce you."

Heading into the house, Izzy soon returned with a basket covered with a small cloth as the fresh smell of bread filled the air. Gesturing, she walked by your side as the two of you made your way through the town. Some of the people greeted Izzy gently as they passed, but a majority seemed to be giving a wide berth while staring daggers at the two of you from behind.

Reaching the outside of the main area of the town, a gravel path led directly towards one of the edges of the cliffs overlooking the sea. A smaller log cabin was built up with cloth tied to the wall and onto a nearby tree branch, creating a side alcove within the grass that held a table filled with notebooks, empty cups, and a swing. Upon the swing was the figure of a pure white male, slowly moving back and forth as his eyes were locked onto the grass that poked out between the toes of his bare feet. A salty sea breeze blew past, ruffling his hair as he let out a quiet exhale.

"Ash-" Izzy called, and the figure straightened up on the swing, one hand moving to grip the rope as he turned his head towards the two of you. A smile broke out on his face as he used his other hand to wave. "....he's always lost in his own thoughts. You'll get used to it; he can be a bit airheaded when he talks to strangers, so don't be offended if he accidentally says something rude."

"Hi, little sis. Rare of you to visit me without immediately slapping the back of my head," Ash chuckled quietly as he swung low on his swing as the two of you stopped within his alcove, the cloth above your heads fluttering with the breeze. "And what's this? An unfamiliar face? A pleasure to meet your acquaintance; I'm Ash. The black sheep of the community of Saha; ironic enough of a way to explain myself when I look like this, right?"

Ash used his free hand to gesture to himself, and that's when your eyes saw the familiar black cube of a Particle embedded between his collarbones, the energy source humming softly. An Unbalanced....so it really was true.

"Yeah, this is-" Izzy paused, an awkward silence filling the air before she set the bread down on the table. "...uh, right. What's your name? I never got it, whoops...."
