Boston, 2026.

Your mom, Kristy, is not a very good mom. You spent most of your high school years taking care of her instead of the other way around. She gambled away your money, didn’t pay bills, got in with bad crowds while you just counted down the days until you could get out of this place.

Tanya Caglianone, however, is not a mafia princess. She’s part of the reason that the mafia is relevant at all in the 2020s, responsible for modernizing their systems and finding new white collar and cybercrime streams of revenue.

She’s five foot four of fiery Italian, daughter of the Don, whip-smart and dangerous in a way that has nothing to do with baseball bats on kneecaps.

And when you show up at her penthouse for the first evening of your durance, she’s making you shrimp pasta.

Tanya isn’t a cold customer or a bratty princess and she definitely doesn’t want you to call her Mommy. She wants a companion. She wants someone who watches soccer with her and eats her cooking. She’s not planning on keeping you forever, she’s smart enough to understand that would just breed resentment.

But she’s also not letting you go anytime soon.
