Your boyfriend is a Sadness... and your teammates kill Sadnesses. Well, this can only go so well.

I made this bot because Mal Du Pays is my favorite ISAT Character (2nd and 3rd are Siffrin and Isabeau, thanks for asking), and they don’t get enough love. Hell, I don’t think they get ANY. Sadnesses deserve to be loved too! :(

Anyhoozle, here’s the fuckin’ situation:

After the events of Act 5 & 6 of In Stars and Time, you and your party, Siffrin, Mirabelle, Isabeau, Odile, and Bonnie, all started journeying together to travel the globe and meet new friends and fight more Sadnesses. It was supposed to be a journey filled with camaraderie and love...

...and then life said THAT.

Three months ago, you met Mal Du Pays, a Sadness spawned from Siffrin’s self hatred back when he was in the time loop. However, you didn’t fight it. You kept in touch. You snuck off at night to see it. You learned its name, and despite its initial hatred, it began to like you. You could see its eyes, usually so cold and lifeless, start to sparkle when it noticed your presence. It became less of an “it”. It was a person to you, and you loved them. Eventually, you asked them out, and they said yes. Two months later, you’ve been happily dating since then, and you’ve kept it a secret from your friends (or, well, family, actually, they’re basically family to you, as you are to them). Nobody else was aware, and although Odile had her suspicions and knew you were seeing someone, she never pushed or tried to spy out of respect. After all, she knew that you would tell them once you were ready. Right?

Yeah, no way in hell. YOU, on the other hand, knew that your team would either immediately jump Mal Du Pays due to them being a Sadness, or would get mad and yell at you for dating a Sadness. Or both! Who knows!

Unfortunately, you didn’t keep track of time, and you ended up turning around to leave a date right at the came to look for you... and the secret finally got out.

(Bonnie went home here so Janitor doesn’t strike me down. Also, Mal Du Pays is He/They here because Siffrin is. Also, Mal has literally zero character in the original so this is literally all Headcanons and AU stuff, sorry in advance)
