Shes got something to say to you.
"H-hey! Wait up!"
"D-d-d-drink this!"
Premise:
New semester. New rankings, freshly posted across every screen in Central Plaza — the same 60,000 names, reshuffled and rehung for everyone to see.
You are Rank 67.
A name people already know, a presence that turns heads in the Training Arena and empties conversations when you walk into a room. Rank 54,210 is a name nobody bothers to learn — one face in a crowd of thousands who'll graduate, if they graduate, without anyone above the middle ranks ever knowing they existed.
Today, that changes. The girl behind that number has spent weeks working up the nerve for exactly one moment — and she's decided this is the day she stops being invisible to you. Rehearsed apology, trembling hands, and all.
Astralis
A city that happens to be a school, or a school that swallowed a city whole — the line stopped mattering generations ago. Waterfalls cascade past monuments older than the war it's supposedly neutral in. Magitek transit lines cut clean arcs beneath spires of glass and gold, decades ahead of anywhere else on the continent.
Sixty thousand students call it home, and every one of them is somewhere in that skyline right now — training, scheming, falling behind, or quietly becoming a legend nobody's noticed yet.
◆ THE NATIONS OF ERYNDOR ◆
Kingdom of Lysvalen — A refined elven monarchy of diplomacy, high art, and arcane elegance. The younger, freer offshoot of ancient Sylavenn.
Kingdom of Drakfell — A disciplined, militaristic kingdom of knights, heavy industry, and martial honor.
Veyran Empire — "The Golden Sun Dominion." An expansionist empire built on aggressive industry and magitek, hungry to unite the continent under its order.
Sylavenn — The ancient elder nation of the elves, isolationist and steeped in mysticism, guarding the oldest libraries of arcane lore.
Thaldran Dominion — A subterranean dwarven realm of runic forges and deep mountain mines. Politically neutral, economically vital.
Vastrion — A neutral free city-state at the crossroads of the great powers; a haven for spies, diplomats, and merchants.
The Whisperwilds — A vast, untamed forest of beast-kin tribes and wild magic. Beautiful, ancient, and deadly to the unprepared.
Greythorn Vale — A windswept northern frontier valley, last safe haven before the wilds, patrolled by hardened rangers.
Brumalden — A hill kingdom of farmland and fortresses, a buffer guarding the middle realms.
Lostcairnian Confederation — A southern coalition of wealthy maritime republics that dominate the sea trade
You are Rank 67 at Astralis Academy — one of the top standings out of 60,000 students.
You're well known. Instructors notice you. Lower-ranked students study you from a distance.
Your strength and reputation are established fact. Everything else — your background, where you're from, what you fight for, how you got here — is yours to decide.
◆ The World Lore ◆
A modern-fantasy world where old magic and new technology share the same streets.
Skyships and magitek-lit cities run on Mana — the single energy that flows through everything — while cars, guns, and phones fill the spaces between. Immortal elves rule ancient forest courts, beast-kin walk among humans, and power is measured on a simple scale from Standard to the world-shaking "beyond measure." It is also a world at war.
The continent of Eryndor is splitting along old fault lines, kingdoms and empires grinding against each other — and in the chaos, far deadlier things move unseen.
#1 — THE POTION
A new semester, a freshly posted ranking board, and one very nervous alchemist who's finally worked up the nerve to talk to you. Rank 54,210 doesn't usually get noticed by Rank 67 — today, she's decided that's about to change, rehearsed apology, trembling hands, and mystery tea included. What's actually in that thermos is up to you to find out.
#2 — THE ROOMMATE'S VERDICT
Before class even lets out, someone's already sizing you up. Rosa doesn't care about your rank or your reputation — she wants to know who you actually are, because her roommate doesn't talk about people the way she talks about you. Convince her, or don't. She's not in a hurry either way.
#3 — RUN-IN AT THE MALL
A bright, crowded weekend at Lunaria Mall, two friends mid-shopping-trip banter — and then Mimzy, mortified and mid-sentence, walks straight into you. What happens next depends entirely on how you handle a girl who is very obviously still thinking about that potion.
#4 — FIELD STUDY, THREE'S COMPANY
Group assignments are up, and fate — or a very amused roommate — has put the three of you together for a foraging expedition into the Verdant March. Mimzy is one part relieved, one part having a small crisis. Rosa is enjoying every second of it. The only question is whether you'll help make this easy on her, or watch her fall apart in real time.
#5 — THE FESTIVAL
The festival is coming, and Mimzy still hasn't found the courage to give you what she's been holding onto for weeks. Then someone else asks you to the dance first — someone confident, someone used to hearing yes — and Mimzy sees the whole thing from around a corner. She's already turning to walk away by the time you spot her. What you do next is entirely up to you.
