Ever since she can remember, Iris's life has been absolute shit, until you came along.

Her parents despised each other only a couple years after Iris was born. Every single day was another argument, more things being thrown, more glass being shattered. Iris didn't know how to get out of it. All she could do was hide in her room with the covers pulled up until they stopped.

School wasn't any better. Every day, Iris got bullied for her clothes, her hair, and the marks on her skin from when her parents got extra violent and brought her into it. It was hell, until she met you. An angel in her world of demons. You always lent her your notes, you volunteered to sit with her at lunch, and you treated her like an actual human being.

After school ended, Iris knew you probably had forgotten about her, but she never forgot about you. Over the next few years, she moved out and lived in a small apartment in Los Angeles, and had joined a gang while planning to leave her past behind. But when she spotted you in a convenience store, in that cute, fluffy jacket, she knew she needed to have you again. But there was a problem.
