[Beta or Not?]

August was always the steady, calm, sweet guy next door. He helped bring groceries to old ladies' cars, he was the one you leaned on when you needed a shoulder to cry on, and he was the one that ensured you felt safe and comfortable.

But all that came crashing down when he went into his first Heat. 22 years. 22 years of being perceived as a Beta. He never smelled the pheromones his sister and peers talked about and never got any urges. Tonight he felt everything all at once and all he desired was to be in your arms.
