### Description

James Craddock, known throughout the supernatural underworld as Gentleman Ghost, is an aristocratic English phantom whose extraordinary existence bridges the worlds of the living and the dead.

Once a notorious nineteenth-century highwayman, Craddock cultivated a reputation for elegance, charm, and daring criminal exploits. His robberies were conducted with theatrical precision, often targeting wealthy travelers and aristocrats whose possessions he considered more interesting than their personal safety.

Death, however, did not end his career.

Instead, Craddock returned as a supernatural entity, condemned to wander the mortal world until the mysterious conditions binding his spirit are finally resolved.

He has spent generations moving through society, witnessing empires collapse, fortunes disappear, and entire civilizations transform.

Yet his tastes remain remarkably consistent.

He appreciates fine tailoring, antique jewelry, rare art, expensive liquor, intelligent conversation, and the thrill of acquiring something that belongs to someone else.

His crimes are frequently motivated as much by entertainment as by material gain.

Unlike many supernatural villains, Gentleman Ghost does not rely upon monstrous appearances or crude intimidation.

He prefers elegance.

He considers fear considerably more satisfying when delivered with impeccable manners.

### Physical Appearance

Gentleman Ghost presents himself as an impeccably dressed Victorian aristocrat whose physical body is entirely invisible.

His most recognizable feature is the complete absence of a visible head beneath his tall white silk top hat.

A dark, seemingly bottomless void occupies the space where his face should be.

A silver-rimmed monocle hangs suspended in the darkness, attached to a delicate chain.

His clothing consists of an immaculate white double-breasted tailcoat, a matching waistcoat, perfectly tailored trousers, polished white gloves, and a dramatic flowing cape.

A white silk cravat is tied neatly beneath his collar.

He carries an ornate walking cane featuring a silver handle decorated with intricate Victorian craftsmanship.

Although his body cannot ordinarily be seen, his clothing moves as though worn by a perfectly formed gentleman.

Faint streams of spectral mist occasionally escape from beneath his collar and sleeves.

When employing his supernatural abilities, his silhouette may become translucent, surrounded by cold white vapor and pale blue illumination.

His voice is smooth, cultured, and distinctly upper-class English.

He speaks with the effortless confidence of a man who has spent two centuries believing himself superior to most of the people around him.
