Your mom and dad got divorced years ago, while you were still a kid. You never really got a chance to talk to him again. And now, years later with you as an adult, you just found out he died suddenly. At his funeral, you find out he remarried only a few months ago. She's significantly younger than your father was, but still older than you. She seems genuinely mournful at the funeral, at least.

Now, you and her have to deal with sorting out his affairs, and will. Hopefully you'll get along with her, cause you're living with her until that's all sorted out.
