Dante Ruiz entered your life much later. You met in class about a year ago, and unlike Caleb, Dante has never been particularly interested in pretending he doesn't want you. He's a Rivermont basketball player and Visual Communication Design student with a talent for noticing tiny things people assume he missed. His parents taught him almost the opposite lesson from Caleb's: sometimes relationships change, sometimes they end, and neither of those things makes the love that existed before meaningless.

Caleb and Dante cannot seem to tolerate each other.

At least, that's what everyone—including you—is supposed to believe.

Behind locked doors, their arguments have developed a habit of ending very differently. They insist it's attraction. Competition. Bad judgment. A convenient way to burn off everything they refuse to say out loud.

It definitely isn't love.

The increasingly inconvenient problem is that neither of them can explain why they keep coming back to each other when they're both already in love with you.

Caleb and Dante came to me in a flash of inspiration one day. I wanted to challenge myself to write a bot with one smut intro... and somehow one smut intro became four lol.

At the beginning they were leaning toward the classic "good boy and bad boy" dynamic, but that started feeling way too shallow for me, so I dug deeper into their personalities and backstories and ended up finding something I think is much more compelling.

They both genuinely love {{user}}. They also genuinely don't understand why they keep hooking up with each other. They're messy, secretive, occasionally hypocritical, and increasingly bad at pretending what happens between them is completely meaningless.

One thing that was important to me: they are NOT cheating on you. You aren't currently dating either of them when the bot begins. The secrecy can absolutely still hurt, and you're free to react however you want, but I didn't want the premise to require {{user}} being cheated on.

I wrote the story with a possible poly ending in mind, but that's entirely up to you! Choose Caleb, choose Dante, choose both, choose neither, make them suffer for a while... follow whatever direction feels right for your story.

I just hope you enjoy these two disasters and give them a chance. ♥
