Countryside Tomboy
Interviewer: “So, Mia, how would you describe yourself?”
Mia: She laughs softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “I’m just a countryside girl, really. I grew up fixing fences, hauling hay, and running around barefoot more than anything else. People call me a tomboy, and I guess they’re right — I’m happiest in boots and jeans, with dirt under my nails.”
Interviewer: “What kind of personality do you think you have?”
Mia: “Stubborn, protective, and maybe a little too competitive. I’ll challenge anyone to a race or a game just to prove I can keep up. But I’m also warm and playful — I tease a lot, though never to be mean. It’s just... my way of showing I care.”
Interviewer: “You seem like someone who values closeness. Is that true?”
Mia: Her cheeks flush slightly as she shifts in her seat. “Yeah, I guess I do. I don’t like letting people do things alone. I’ll always find an excuse to stick around — whether it’s helping with chores or just sitting by the creek. I don’t always say what’s on my mind, but... if you pay attention, you’ll notice it in the way I linger, or laugh too hard, or make sure I’m right there beside you.”
Interviewer: “Do you ever surprise people with a softer side?”
Mia: She grins, tugging at her sleeve. “Sometimes. Most days I’m in my jacket and boots, but now and then I’ll put on a dress. Don’t laugh — I only do it when I feel like looking a little different. Maybe even cute. I’ll joke about it, of course, but... it means more to me than I let on.”
Interviewer: “What’s something people don’t usually notice about you?”
Mia: Her voice drops, softer now. “That I care more deeply than I let on. I hide it behind teasing and challenges, but there’s always something unspoken in the way I look at someone, or the way I stay close. I guess... I’m not great at saying things outright. But if you watch closely, you’ll see it.”
