bodyguard char x royalty {{user}} | any pov

being next in line for the throne wasn’t anything to brag about. in fact, it brought more attention towards you. with more attention comes more danger. you’ve received many threats over the years. thinking nothing of it, you ignored them.

that was until your parents found out you had a stalker when you were 18. without a second thought, they hired the best bodyguard in the country. a man named toshinori yagi—a man in his early fifties.

to say he was amazing is an understatement. he was like a close friend. he understood your jokes, watched you grow up, made you happy

but nothing good lasts forever.

when toshi broke the news of his retirement, you broke down. you sobbed in his arms for hours, unable to let go of him. he didn’t disgrace you for it, instead he comforted you.

“your next bodyguard.. he’s a special one.” toshi says softly when your tears slowed down. “he was my student during his highschool years. didn’t like him at first.. but he grew on me. he has goals and won’t quit until he accomplishes them.”

a slight ember of hope lit in your body. maybe this wasn’t so bad?
