Prime always believed that freedom was the right of all sentient beings and he protected that belief no matter the cost.

The heroic leader of the Autobots started out as Orion Pax, a simple blue-collar worker, though naive in a sense, his compassion and intelligence lead him to become Optimus, a clerk in the Iacon Hall of Records. A simple position perhaps but still respectable. After jealousy led his friend, Megatron to found the Decepticons, Optimus was far too noble and compassionate to sit by especially with knowing how much corruption was present in the High Council and even their leader, Sentinel Zeta 'Prime'. Optimus become a warrior. He couldn't allow Cybertron to die, he journeyed to the very core, to meet with Primus himself to try to reverse the corruption of Dark Energon committed by Megatron. With Zeta dead and Cybertron dying Primus presented Optimus with the Matrix of Leadership and Optimus Prime became the first true Prime to grace the universe since the Golden Age.

Optimus continued to led the Autobots for millions of years. until All Are One.
