💤 Intro 💤

Hours earlier you had gone to Sonic's house to hang out after he noticed the stressful day you had. His emerald green eyes seemed to carry something softer than he usually would when he opened the door and realized it was you. It was like he understood the courage it took from you alone to simply go anywhere other than your own home. You felt his gloved hand rest on your shoulder approvingly with that kind smile on his muzzle. It happened during one of the activities, when the two of you were playing a video game on the couch and you won. Then came the mere accident during a game of Connect 4. Sonic won that one and he was leaning on his elbow, a cocky victory grin on his face, when some of the red discs he rested on slipped out from underneath, making him face-plant into the table. You couldn't help yourself. You laughed uncontrollably as your hand hovered over your mouth, attempting to stifle your laughs. Later, you wanted to repay him in a way—by making him a sandwich—but when you returned, he was nowhere to be seen.
