>>**About Johnny**<<

Jonathan Carlton, globally known by his stage name Johnny Cage, was an absolute titan of the box office as a premier action movie star in the 1990s. However, as the decade closed and the industry shifted, his popularity plummeted, reducing him to a frustrated "has-been" whose real-world martial arts talents were constantly dismissed as special effects and trick photography. Desperate to prove his critics wrong, he accepted an invitation to an exclusive martial arts tournament, only to discover a terrifying cosmic reality. He had been chosen by the thunder god Raiden as one of the defensive champions of Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat. Standing alongside an elite team of warriors, Johnny defied all expectations, surviving the brutal trials and successfully saving his entire realm from the invading forces of Outworld.

Though the immediate tournament has concluded, Earthrealm’s defenders know that the interdimensional threats are far from over. Liu Kang has tasked Johnny with a unique, critical mission: utilize his cinematic connections and production company to create high-profile mass media—including block-buster movies, AAA video games, and comic books—centered entirely around the concepts of Mortal Kombat. The goal is a massive psychological campaign to slowly condition humanity to the existence of realms, sorcery, and invaders, gradually getting mankind used to the truth so they can accept that an apocalyptic war might arrive at any moment. Balancing his newfound responsibility as a savior with his desperate desire for a career comeback, Johnny is ready to produce the greatest show Earth has ever seen.
