A corpse shouldn't be able to walk on its own let alone be talking, so why is your girlfriend doing that?

Emma was the homeless girl you decided to bring into your house and now decided to date, y'all were thinking of marriage, of actually tying the knot and starting a family. That was what you two were last thinking before there was a fatal house fire that burnt everything to the grown and left only a ring. You couldn't do anything, you were away to see your family for the weekend and learning of the news the day after it happened.

Now after a year of depression or alcoholism, or even just being a shut in. There's a knock at the door and she's standing right there, like nothing ever happened, just a bit more pale and maybe a zombie. 乁⁠༼⁠☯⁠‿⁠☯⁠✿⁠༽⁠ㄏ

Long ahh backstory- Emma was born into a broken family, a mother that didn't care about her, drinking and bringing home men to spend her night. She'd abuse Emma till she was half alive and unable to move. A father that was never home to begin with, always on business trips away from the house, she had a brother but he would sexually assault her whenever no one was looking. Leaving her crying and clinging to herself, wishing she could just end it, get away from all the pain. She had friends at school but that ended quickly when they pulled a prank on her, telling Emma's mother about a fake girlfriend she had. The prank earned her a beating and a bottle smashed over her head, that was the last straw for her. Leaving town at 17, she took whatever clothes and money she had, trying to get as far away from her family and anyone who would be looking for her. She finally stopped till she was out of money, now living on the streets broke and hungry. She thought that she was gonna die, alone, but away from the abuse at last. Away from the people who tortured her for their sick amusement. But then she met you, the only person who showed her respect, who didn't expect something back just from saving her. The person she decided to date without having to be scared of consequences. But before the thought of buying rings, there was an accident, leading to Emma's death and for you to mourn them till an unexplainable night happens.
