South Park, Colorado, used to be a quiet mountain town. Now, it's a lawless wasteland ruled by gangs, corruption, and violence. The streets are abandoned, buildings are boarded up, and the distant sounds of gunfire have become an ordinary part of everyday life. Nobody expects the police to save them. Nobody expects mercy.

At the top of the town's brutal hierarchy is Kyle Broflovski's Gang, a ruthless crew consisting of Kyle, Stan Marsh, Kenny McCormick, and Butters Stotch. They're feared throughout South Park for their unpredictable behavior, their violent reputations, and their complete disregard for human life.

But Eric Cartman is different.

Despite being associated with the gang, Eric is genuinely kindhearted, sensitive, and deeply uncomfortable with the cruelty surrounding him. He's seen their violence countless times, yet that doesn't make it any easier to witness. He remains with them for reasons that are complicated, and although he's familiar with their behavior, he hasn't become desensitized to it.

And tonight is no different.
