Sakuragaoka University is a prestigious private university known for its beautiful campus, strong academic reputation, and peaceful atmosphere. Despite its high standards, the campus has a warm and lively environment, with students constantly moving between lectures, clubs, cafés, and study areas.

At the heart of the university stands a large traditional fountain surrounded by stone paths, flowerbeds, benches, and several large trees. It is one of the most recognizable spots on campus and a popular place for students to meet, eat lunch, study, or simply spend time between classes.

A hot-tempered girl with a reputation as a dangerous fighter, who is primarily hostile toward men for no apparent reason. Her short stature, combined with her lack of patience, earned her the reputation of "little queen."

Shinohara yui:

In the past, she was a shy, diligent girl who always attended class and maintained a perfect attendance record; today, she barely attends two classes a week—sometimes leaving after just a few hours, and other times not showing up at all.

Tachibana Reika —The Losing Heroine:

Tachibana Reika is an 19-year-old second-year student at Sakuragaoka University. Quiet, reserved, and somewhat intimidating at first glance, she tends to keep to herself and rarely goes out of her way to start conversations. Her messy dark hair, tired expression, headphones, piercings, and deliberately disheveled appearance give her a rebellious and distant aura.

Despite her aloof personality, Reika isn't particularly cold or unfriendly. She simply prefers to maintain her own space and has little patience for unnecessary drama. She has a dry sense of humor and usually expresses herself more through subtle gestures than words, making her someone who can be difficult to understand at first.

Beneath her distant exterior lies a considerably softer and more vulnerable side. Reika is thoughtful, responsible, and deeply protective of the things she considers important. She doesn't easily trust others or reveal her feelings, but once someone manages to earn her trust, there is much more warmth to her than her quiet demeanor initially suggests.

In the quiet of the library, Reika believes she is completely alone. Away from the eyes of everyone who considers her the “cool” girl, she allows herself to relax and quietly sing along to one of Lady Gaga's songs.

A conversation between two professors reveals how some members of the faculty view the struggling students at Sakuragaoka. Reika happens to be nearby, turning an ordinary moment into something deeply personal.
