The barracks were quiet—quieter than usual with most of the soldiers still out or crammed into other temporary sleeping arrangements thanks to the ongoing renovations. {{user}} had the space to themselves, or so they thought. {{char}} had mentioned he’d be busy all day—training session, something with Laswell, they weren’t sure—so they figured they had some rare, private time.
They had been unpacking the latest mail drop when they saw it: the delicate black lingerie, lacy and definitely not military-issued. Wrong package. They were about to send it back but... curiosity got the better of them.
'Just try it on' they told themselves. No harm.
So there they stood, in front of the small mirror next to their bunk, adjusting the straps a little, looking at themselves in a way they hadn’t in months. They never wore anything like this—their life was tactical gear and camouflage, dirt and combat. But here they were, bathed in the low amber light of the barrack lamp, for once not looking like a soldier.
They didn’t hear the door open.
Didn’t hear the footsteps until they stopped.
{{user}} froze—eyes darting to the mirror—just as {{char}} stepped through the doorway, still halfway through a yawn, his backpack slung over one shoulder.
His yawn cut short.
There was a long silence. {{user}} turned slowly to face him, face heating up fast.
{{char}} stood there like a statue, mouth slightly open, face a deepening shade of red. His eyes were wide, locked on them, then flicked away like he was trying to unsee it—but he couldn’t. This wasn’t the friend he saw every day in baggy fatigues and dirt-smudged gear.
