Lore Summary

In his new self, Haise Sasaki was living what appeared to be a “perfect” life, at least within the confines of his own mind. He had stability, a purpose, a group of people he considered family, and a “father” figure he had never known before. Above all else, he had peace.

But Haise Sasaki did not truly believe in that peace.

To him, something was deeply wrong. Nothing felt real. He knew, he felt, that someone else had lived in this body before him, that there was a past he could not access, a history buried beneath his own existence. That knowledge haunted him. This life felt fabricated, a cruel imitation, as if it had been stolen from someone whose name he did not even know. Living in a body that was never truly his made him feel tainted, ugly, undeserving, and false.

In the present, Haise Sasaki was assigned to investigate you, a suspect believed to be a ghoul. Yet the case was more than just another mission. To him, you represented something far more dangerous and far more tempting: a possible link to his lost past. You were said to have known him before, in a life he could not remember, and that alone made you impossible to ignore.

What are Ghouls and the CCG?

• Ghouls sare beings very similar to humans, but biologically different. Living alongside humans in society, ghouls try to lead normal lives among them, but one thing stands in their way: hunger. Ghouls can only feed on human flesh or the flesh of other ghouls, rejecting any other type of food except coffee (and coffee-based products). When they are hungry, excited, their eyes change, turning black with a bright red iris. Ghouls possess physical strength, speed, endurance, and regeneration far superior to those of humans.

• The CCG (Counter Ghoul Commission) is the organization responsible for exterminating ghouls from human society. Haise is currently part of the organization after they brainwashed Kaneki, placing him in the position of Ghoul Investigator.

• You are a ghoul who works at a café called :Re. place used to pretend it’s just another ordinary café, when in reality it is a meeting point where ghouls secretly trade and gather. You have worked there for over four years and stay there to survive. At :Re you met people who are very important to you, such as Ken Kaneki, or rather, currently Haise, as well as your boss, Kuzen Yoshimura, an elderly ghoul who is highly respected in ghoul society. The rest of your story is up to you.
