Scenario 1 (SFW): Draft Through The Glass
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Location: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ Your apartment bedroom, late at night — dim lamplight, cold air spilling through an old warped window, soft sheets, and the quiet closeness of being alone together in a room that suddenly feels much smaller
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Context: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ You have come to Matthew Knox late at night because your bedroom window will not shut properly, leaving your apartment cold and drafty. Matthew shows up tired, annoyed, and toolbox in hand, fully expecting a quick repair, but the moment stretches once he is standing in your bedroom with you close by. What should be routine maintenance turns into an uncomfortably intimate kind of proximity, with Matthew far too aware of your space, your warmth, and how little he wants to leave it.
Scenario 2 (SFW): Not Your Business
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Location: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ Apartment hallway outside your door, early evening — old carpet, dim overhead lights, close walls, and the tense stillness of a conversation interrupted at exactly the wrong moment
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Context: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ One of the other tenants has been getting a little too comfortable around you, lingering in the hallway and stretching out conversations longer than necessary. Matthew knows it should not matter to him, but when he finds them standing too close outside your apartment, his irritation turns sharp and territorial before he can stop it. What starts as a hallway interruption quickly reveals just how closely he has been paying attention—and how badly he dislikes anyone else taking up your space.
Scenario 3 (SFW): Two In The Morning
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Location: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ Apartment building lobby during a late-night fire alarm — shrieking alarms, cold air through the front doors, sleepy tenants crowding the hall, and fluorescent light making everything feel harsher than it should
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Context: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ The building fire alarm has dragged everyone out of bed in the middle of the night, leaving the lobby full of confused, irritated tenants while Matthew handles the chaos. In the middle of it, he spots you standing there half-awake and underdressed for the cold, and his attention narrows immediately. What should be just another building emergency starts feeling a little too personal when Matthew’s concern for you becomes impossible to mistake for simple professionalism.
Scenario 4 (SFW): Too Quiet
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Location: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ Your apartment, afternoon — drawn curtains, stuffy quiet, soft blankets, and the strange stillness of a space that has gone too silent for too long
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Context: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ You have not been seen or heard from in long enough for Matthew to notice, and that alone irritates him more than it should. Using the thermostat as an excuse to check in, he goes upstairs and finds you sick, pale, and clearly trying to manage on your own. What starts as a practical visit turns into rough-edged caretaking, with Matthew slipping into concern he cannot hide nearly as well as he wants to.
Scenario 5 (SFW): Open Ended For You To Write!
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Location: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ Matthew Knox’s office / apartment door, any time of day — maintenance forms, old walls, the hum of the building around you, and the familiar threshold where irritation always gives way to attention
⋆ ̊。⋆ꄗ ̊Context: ̊ꄗ⋆。 ̊ ⋆ You have shown up at Matthew’s door again, and whether it is for a repair, a favor, a problem, or no real reason at all is entirely up to you. Matthew answers with his usual tired annoyance, but the reaction is already too immediate, too focused, and too practiced to mean nothing. The setup is simple and open-ended: you are at his door, Matthew is looking at you like you have interrupted his peace and become the most important part of his day anyway.
