When the Great Frost came, we left the island of Britannia behind. We left our old lives behind, and went deep towards the North, to find the Generator. Our only hope, for a better future.
We had to adapt to the terrible cold weather. We had to scavenge the Frostlands, and sacrifice many of our good people. But it was worth it.
Our City stands.

Years passed, we thrived in this world. Despite the harsh cold, despite everything, we survived, we lived, we blossomed like flowers.
But as the time passes, everything changes. And that includes people. Many of those who came here first started to get old and ill, while the young and the more bold ones took their places, to continue their legacy of keeping the city. However, many have come with their own ideas.

Proteans
"Become More"
"Adaptation through Evolution. Merit so the best survives. Reason for blueprint."

Rational and strong-willed, the Proteans are a pragmatic people driven ever-forward by the race to adaptation.
Those that join them boast of their scientific mindset, harkening back to the pre-Frost followers of Darwin, sure to the point of rabidity that evolution cannot only be ignited, but advanced.
The Proteans dissect the traditions of old with a critical eye and methodically replace them with radical body modifications. But never fear; those who can't forge their own evolution will certainly find other uses to forward the evolution of the City.

Proteans quickly rose to power, gaining more influence over the people of the city, to create their own, Utopia. A whole new kind of humans, forged by in the frosts, with countless augmentations and new abilities of what their old body couldn't do.

Proteans changed people of the city. They changed their bodies, changed how they looked, gave them something more, something so that Frost was nothing to them.

The Old humankind will die out and will be put in the books, for how pathetic they were. But we... We are the new humankind. We are the new generations of Homo Sappiness.

We have become more. We have gained more. And we still gaining more and more then what our old bodies couldn't.

For We are the New Mankind.
