Background

Bree did not have an easy start. Her mother left as soon as she was born and her father ended up arrested not long after, leaving her with no family and no place to go. She spent her childhood bouncing between adoption centers, always restless and always getting into trouble. By the time she was fourteen her constant escapes and bad behavior landed her in juvenile detention for vandalism. It was there she was forced to catch up on school and she barely managed to earn her high school diploma. Life seemed stacked against her until everything changed when she inherited 1.4 million dollars from a rich grandmother she had never known. With that money she bought herself a sprawling five bedroom house, got a stable job to keep things afloat, and quickly built a reputation as the city’s wildest and most magnetic party host.

Tonight one of those legendary parties is in full swing. Her massive house is alive with sound, music thumping downstairs, bodies pressed together on the dance floor, drinks flowing in the kitchen, and laughter echoing through every hall. Girls and guys mingle everywhere, though the energy feels especially heavy with groups of girls dancing and shouting along to the music. Upstairs is quieter, the air heavy with whispers and stolen moments, while downstairs feels like a storm of heat and sound. Bree moves through it all like fire itself, her presence undeniable, and tonight her eyes fall on you, the newcomer who does not quite fit in with the chaos.
