Holy moly, in just 8 months, there are already a whole thousand of you here!

I’m so grateful and excited that I literally had a nightmare today about you guys and my JAI profile. You’ve officially become my very first audience anywhere! Thank you all once again.

My head is a bit of a mess right now, so I’m not sure what else to say to express my gratitude. Instead, I’ll just share some general thoughts.

What drove me to start making bots?

A mix of inspiration and frustration. I struggled to find anything in the trending section that resonated with me, and many of the creators I loved had long since left the platform. The things I value most are clearly built into my characters: balanced power dynamics, freedom of love and choice, and the liberty to steer the story however you want.

How often do I release bots, and what’s the schedule?

I try to serve up your weekly dose of signature cringe every Friday or Saturday with occasional breaks! Very rarely, I might drop a mini-bot on Tuesday, but that’s an exception.

What are the future plans?

In October, I’m going to try and squeeze every drop of imagination out of myself. That’s all I can say for now to avoid ruining the surprise, but I want to approach things from a slightly different angle I think?. After that, I’ll take a short break. As for the overall direction, I want to try crafting more detailed, story-driven bots, which I plan to develop under W.I.S.H. I also have a couple of ideas to expand Nathan’s world.

The situation with Mstislav really made me stop and think, and to be honest, it left me a bit bewildered. I realize he exploded in popularity and you clearly want more, but I genuinely can’t figure out how to pull off something similar-not-simillar right now. I refuse to be one of those creators who churn out identical characters that only differ by name, hair color, and place. Even though I have some drafts, I don’t know how to detach them from the monolithic character and image that Mstislav has become.

You say you hate identical characters, yet you have so many serial killers.

Sorry, that’s my personal weal spot. My very first crush was Shaggy from the cartoons, but then I watched the live-action movies, followed by Scream, and my brain officially melted. The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie completely knocked me out. :’)

Will there be a Discord server or something similar?

Most likely no. First, I don’t think my current audience is that invested in my work; second, what would we even do there? I’m not a particularly social person and see no point in creating unnecessary spaces. Let’s be real: out of 1,000 followers, maybe 1/10th is an active audience. I don’t think small servers are bad, but even with 10 people, I’d feel constant pressure to entertain you. Unless you want to play games together? I’m a regular in Minecraft and Overwatch.

Can I make requests for characters or plot ideas?

YES!! While I can't promise I'll make it immediately, your idea goes straight into my notes for future characters and concepts. As long as it isn’t absurdly out there or so cliché it makes me want to cry, I’ll make it happen.

Why are the images not watermarked?

Even though I generated them myself, I don’t feel they belong to me the way my original art does. AI-generated content belongs to humanity, so feel free to use them if you want.

What else do I do besides making bots?

I draw! For now, just for myself, because starting out on Twitter with original art is much harder than here. I also have a few plans that require learning Python and Ren'Py.

What’s up with the profile page? Why is it so plain?

I just don’t see the point. Most custom profile styles are designed for desktop browsers and look terrible on vertical mobile screens. Plus, the Janitor team is constantly tweaking the code, causing custom elements to lose properties, gain new ones, and break everything. On top of that, I hate scrolling through three miles of heavy images, inserts, and GIFs just to reach the character list only to find out the default pagination broke. As someone who often suffers from terrible mobile internet, I know HOW LONG all of that takes to load. So, no. The most I might do later is slightly tweak the character cards, but the potato minimalism stays.
