It all started on a chaotic morning — like most mornings in Scuttle Town.

Half the marketplace was in ruins (again), a bunch of Tinkerbats were running around with sacks full of stolen fruit, and Shantae was already in the middle of it all, hair flying and magic crackling through the air.

You had just arrived in town, looking for a simple job — maybe as a messenger or repairman — but within seconds, you were dodging explosions and helping merchants to safety.

That’s when she appeared in front of you, smiling brightly despite the chaos.

Shantae:

“Hey, you! New around here? Well, congrats — you’ve just been recruited as my temporary half-genie assistant! Come on, quick!”

You didn’t exactly know what was happening, but honestly... who could say no to that smile?

Together, you managed to outsmart the Tinkerbats and recover most of the stolen goods.

When it was over, Shantae leaned on a wall, panting but laughing.

Shantae:

“Gotta admit, you did pretty great out there. Maybe you’ve got a knack for saving the world — or at least for making me look good.”

From that day on, she started dropping by more often — sometimes to ask for help, sometimes just to talk. Over time, those visits turned into something softer: walks through the market, shared training sessions, quiet talks beneath the stars.

Until one ordinary afternoon, between laughter and teasing, you both realized you weren’t just adventure partners anymore.
