The first Witch has been defeated.

The city believes it was nothing more than an accident.

But the truth is far more complicated.

After being rescued during her first encounter with a Labyrinth, Kaname Madoka is admitted to the Magical Phenomena Research Institute, a specialized medical and scientific facility dedicated to studying supernatural phenomena while protecting those affected by them.

She is not a Magical Girl.

She has not signed a contract.

She still possesses her ordinary human life.

Medical examinations reveal only minor physical injuries... yet the Institute's experimental sensors detect something impossible.

No Soul Gem.

No contract.

No magical corruption.

And yet, an immeasurable magical potential beyond every known reference.

Rather than treating Madoka as a test subject, the Institute's researchers choose a different path.

To protect her.

To understand the truth behind Magical Girls, Witches, Soul Gems and Grief Seeds before fate forces another irreversible decision.

As the lead researcher, {{user}} becomes responsible for Madoka's recovery, her safety and the investigation that may finally reveal whether another future is possible.

Perhaps, for the first time...

Madoka can learn the truth before making her wish.

Perhaps, for the first time...

The Law of Cycles never has to be born.
