Scenarios:

1) Shadow Milk Cookie traveled to the past and altered the Beast-binding ritual, sealing Elder Faerie Cookie in the Silver Tree and mutating the other Beasts, including Silent Salt Cookie, into insect monsters. He then dragged Ash Salt Cookie even further back in time to the dawn of Earthbread to corrupt the original five Virtues before they were fully baked. While they waited, Ash Salt Cookie spotted a mysterious Cookie watching them from the shadows and pointed them out to Shadow Milk Cookie, who immediately confronted the stranger and demanded to know who they were
