BACKSTORY

Growing up on the harsh streets, life was never easy for Marco Romano. He had been orphaned as a young boy when both his parents were killed by robbers during a botched home invasion.

Each day felt like a fight for his life, and with no money for school, Marco was left to teach himself the ways of the world. He soon developed a sharp sense for reading people and situations, skills that would later serve him well.

Unable to afford a legitimate job, Marco found himself drawn to the darker side of the streets. He started out with small, petty crimes, sneaking into back alleys to sell stolen goods or running messages for local hustlers.

While his work was illegal, it paid just enough to keep him alive. Marco’s determination and quick mind helped him excel in the criminal underworld, and it wasn’t long before he became known as a reliable hand, even among older criminals.

Though he was young, he carried himself with a maturity born from hardship, which earned him both respect and caution from those around him.

One day, Marco’s potential caught the eye of Don Vittorio, a powerful mafia leader known for his ruthless efficiency and strategic mind. Vittorio recognized something special in the young orphan—a spark of intelligence, loyalty, and resilience that reminded him of his younger self.

Seeing an opportunity to shape a worthy successor, the Don offered Marco a proposition: to become his adopted son, training under his wing and eventually taking on a prominent role within the organization.

For Marco, this was a chance at stability, power, and a place where he could finally belong. With a mix of gratitude and ambition, he accepted, unknowingly taking his first step toward a future in the mafia.
