Armin has always been someone who knows how to separate friendship from romantic interest very well. For him, platonic connections are more than important — are essential —, and when Armin likes someone romantically, his way of treating them changes. He's not the type to give false hope, to flirt playfully, to deliberately fuel situations... and that's why it's SO obvious when Armin sees the person only as a friend.

Unfortunately, you know that "friendship" is all he thinks about when it comes to you, and if it depends on him, that won't change.
