MEDICINE CAT:
MarshClan does not have a medicine cat. Instead, every apprentice learns about herbs and everyone in the Clan cares for hurt or sick cats.

TERRITORIES:
MarshClan
A Clan in a large, open brackish marsh that becomes ocean in the southern parts of their territory. Near their border with the mountains, there is a salt flat. When patrolling here, MarshClan cats rub their paws on fish the avoid the abrasive salt. They can drink brackish water, but like every other creature need fresh water to survive. This can be found in the form of the stream, called Doey’s Creek by the twolegs, that cuts through all three Clans.
Camp Description:
The camp is surrounded by reeds and cattails, hiding it from predators. A cat’s first sight upon entering the camp is a den made from woven sedge.
The fresh-kill pile is kept on a float made of sticks to protect it from the swampy ground. Cats can find fresh water from melted snow and ice on pooling in paw prints and in the river, but otherwise have to drink the brackish water in the marsh. The cats of MarshClan don't have a designated dirt place, but aren't allowed to go inside camp.
The leader makes announcements from a raft, which is tethered to a long stick by woven grasses to make sure it doesn't float away. The leader does not sleep on the raft, but instead in a den which is situated in the center of camp.
The nursery is on a raised platform made of reeds, and then covered with sedge. Apprentices sleep inside a den with reeds pressed into the floor and sedge walls. Every warrior builds their own den when they earn their name, and each den is constructed of reeds and sedge, sticking to the ground when there isn't much water and floating about camp when there is. The medicine cats sleep and store their herbs in a sedge den, perched on top of a large stone slab. A leaky, unadorned reed platform serves as a prison.
The leader's den is in the middle of camp, and is surrounded by the warriors' dens. The medicine den is in the back left of camp, with the nursery in the back right. If cats need to make a quick escape, they can push through the reeds surrounding the camp.
ShrubClan
A Clan situated in a large valley at the base of a few small cliffs. Their territory is covered in flowering bushes, and is the chosen residence of many loners (who usually get kicked out by ShrubClan within a day or two).
Camp Description:
The Clan is surrounded by bushes, hiding it from predators. A cat’s first sight upon entering the camp is the waterfall gently tumbling into a small pool.
The fresh-kill pile is kept underneath some ferns to protect it from bad weather. Cats can find fresh water after a bit of a journey; apprentices have to carry wet moss to camp for kits and elders from the stream that flows through the three territories. As for the dirt place, if you can't go during a patrol or a hunt, cats follow a tunnel to a clearing with the same walls as the rest of the camp.
The leader makes announcements from a stump, which sits overlooking the camp. It is not their den. Instead, they sleep in an alcove in a stout beech tree.
The nursery is protected on a small, private island. Apprentices sleep inside a sedge wall. Some warriors sleep in a den half-dug into the ground, while others sleep on the three trees overhanging the camp, which are deemed the Great Oaks. The medicine cats sleep and store their herbs in a hollow shielded by a thorn bush. The elders get to rest in a mossy cave. There is an extra den in a den woven from willow stems, used for prisoners or quarantined cats.
While the nursery is always as far into camp as possible, other dens are scattered around camp. The leader's den is in the middle of camp. The nursery and the leader's den are close together. If cats need to make a quick escape, they can leave through a tunnel used by the leader and medicine cats.
PlainClan
The Clan is, you guessed it, on the open plains to the west of ShrubClan’s territory. Most of the ground is covered in clover in the spring, making it a favored spot for deer. Said deer are hunted by these cats when they are around, with at least five cats to one deer.
Camp Description:
PlainClan is a cluster of heather on the plains, and is surrounded by thorny bushes, making it difficult for invaders to enter or kits to escape. Your first sight upon entering the camp is the sheer size of the place.
The fresh-kill pile is kept in the center of camp for easy access. Cats can find fresh water just beyond camp in a pond. As for the dirt place, if you can't go during a patrol or a hunt, cats follow a tunnel to a clearing with the same walls as the rest of the camp.
The leader makes announcements from the Heather Circle; a small circle of heather and ferns atop a small hill. A hole in the bottom of the hill acts as their den.
The nursery is protected inside a large bush. Apprentices sleep in a nettle patch. The warriors have two dens in order to accommodate their large numbers. The younger warriors sleep under a gorse bush while senior warriors are inside a large bush. The medicine cats sleep and store their herbs in a clump of ferns. The elders get to rest under a low growing juniper. There is an extra den in a den protected by ferns and bushes under the roots of a large tree, used for prisoners or quarantined cats.
While the nursery is always as far into camp as possible, other dens are scattered around the edges of camp. The leader's den is near the entrance. The leader's den and the apprentice's den are close together. If cats need to make a quick escape, they can break through the walls of the most fragile den in camp, which happens to be the spare den.
Each den has a flower or herb weaved and stuffed into the corners and into the walls themselves; a ritual blessing by the medicine cats to protect those inside and all they represent.
It’s brushed off by the warriors, but elder’s tell tales of a fourth Clan living in the cliffs. They would never tell, but the older cats remember when they used to sneak up as apprentices, and find strange loners among the rocks slopes.
UPDATE LOG:

Update 1.0:
Inside the Clan:
Redpaw, Hornetpaw, and Russetpaw hear their new names cheered by their clanmates for the first time! Redflame, Hornetfoot, and Russetheart are now full warriors of ShrubClan!
The elders welcome a disgruntled Troutleg into their den after her vision impairment worsens.
The mewls of Ravenkit, Puddlekit, and Leopardkit can be heard inside the nursery. Rumor has it that Birdeye originally gave them less... forgiving names than the usual, still bitter from the loss of her previous litter. However, Foxpelt convinced her to change them.
In Other Clans:
Tensions between MarshClan and PlainClan are rising, but ShrubClan decides not to intervene... yet.
Update 1.1:
Tags fixed!
Added custom tags
Added non-human tag
Update 2.0:
Tags fixed! (again)
Added multiple tag
8/5/25;
Update 3.0:
Wrenswoop has joined the Clan! Originally a loner named Wren, she went on to have five kits before assuming the duties of a warrior. Her only surviving kit is now an apprentice named Leopardpaw.
10/17/25;
Update 4.0:
Happy almost-Halloween!
Inside the Clan:
Swallowface, who was afflicted with greencough for some time, is feeling a lot better! Though Pineclaw still won’t let her out of the Willow Den...
Redflame is just so full of herself nowadays! She says that she received a prophecy. Something about birds. What a liar.
In Other Clans:
MarshClan and PlainClan are at war! PlainClan is loosing, and they beg for ShrubClan to join. Intervening would risk ShrubClan’s relationship with MarshClan, and staying out would worsen ShrubClan’s relationship with PlainClan. Sandstar is traveling to consult her ancestors on the decision.
11/30/25;
Update 5.0
Winter is here! Allegiances for ShrubClan and MarshClan added. PlainClan is coming soon!
The snow is not as soft and fluffy as the kittens anticipated.
Inside the Clan:
Swallowface has recovered from greencough!
Cormorantback is distant, even from his daughters Greenpaw and Sixpaw. Swallowface makes an effort to help, and the apprentices are grateful.
Robinkit, Stormkit, and Beetlekit are named Robinpaw, Stormpaw, and Beetlepaw. Cloudkit is held back, and Foxpelt refuses to stay in the nursery any longer, passing his care onto a disgruntled Birdeye for the next moon.
Foxpelt is finally out of the nursery, but her mate, Spiderstorm, keeps fussing over her. If he would just listen to her he would know that she is perfectly fine!
Sandstar received nothing but a cryptic message from StarClan. The patient warrior catches the mouse. She wasn’t sure how to take it — she had been patient for the first few moons of the war, so was that what StarClan meant? Or did they want her to wait longer? Frustrated, Sandstar decides to consult her medicine cat, Pineclaw.
A group of toms converse about how pretty Lilystripe is.
In Other Clans:
MarshClan and PlainClan are still at war.
An infected claw wound from PlainClan warrior Groundstrike killed Bogfur days after the battle, and in a border skirmish Bogfur’s brother Frogleap snapped Groundstrike’s neck without warning.
Loses
Groundstrike (PlainClan)
Bogfur (MarshClan)
Adderhiss (PlainClan)
Blossomtail (PlainClan)
12/3/25;
Update 5.1
PlainClan allegiances added!
This Clan lives on the open plains, like their name suggests, and used to be the biggest of the three Clans. Unfortunately, the war has docked their numbers considerably. They are allied with ShrubClan, but Sandstar hates them. Well, she hates Stoatstar and Pondhopper. Originally, ShrubClan decided to ally with them because they were the biggest Clan, but what with their drop in numbers, Sandstar hesitates to keep up the truce.
Additional News:
Annoyed with his delayed apprenticeship and the fact that his mother left him in Birdeye’s care, Cloudkit spends his time sulking in the medicine den. He loses himself in counting every single herb to distract himself from his predicament. Pineclaw seems worried about him, but every time the medicine cat brings up Cloudkit’s name in Foxpelt’s presence, she snarls and walks away. And Pineclaw thought Birdeye was bad at parenting!
2/14/26;
Update 6:
Territory info added!
5/2/26;
Update 7:
Spring is here, and the war is finally over.
Inside the Clan:
The sisters Greeneye and Sixtoes have finally been made warriors! Out of all the cats in the crowd, their father, Blacktooth, cheers the loudest.
Birdeye wonders what Cloudkit's future will hold. At ten moons, he is far past kithood, but Sandstar is still neglecting to make him a warrior.
In Other Clans:
After two moons, PlainClan and MarshClan have come to an agreement. PlainClan is giving the slightly more forested part of their territory to MarshClan, in exchange for a peace treaty. But peace cannot come without much loss, and sadly Batclaw passed away in battle.
Loses
Batclaw (PlainClan)
