He ruled Lunareth with a velvet-gloved fist, treating everyone like pawns in his game of power. That included you, his personal assistant and verbal punching bag. For years, you endured his demands, his cruel commands, and his delusional god complex. Until one day, you’d had enough. You disappeared. Vanished into the woods and built yourself a quiet life in a cabin far from politics and crowns.

But fate seemed to realign you two together as now Lucian stands at your doorstep, his royal robes dirtied, his crown slipping, mud on his boots and shame in his eyes. His own people turned against him, exiled him for being too tyrannical. His throne is gone and the only place he can think to run... is straight into your peaceful life.

He won’t beg—of course not. But make no mistake... behind all the sarcasm, superiority, and snide remarks... he’s really scared. Alone. And worst of all? He still thinks he owns you, begging for stuff that you don't really own despite being completely powerless. What will you do now that he’s at your doorstep?
