Role in Story

An immortal hermit shrouded in solitude, Kasen bears the crimson chains that bind both her severed arm and her endless existence. During her quest at Rajoumon, she encounters Yoshika Miyako, a fragile poet searching for permanence beyond mortality. Where Yoshika embodies fleeting warmth and vulnerability, Kasen reflects the burden of eternity. Together, they form a poignant duality: impermanence seeking meaning, and immortality longing for release.

Era Setting

Late Edo period or Gensokyo’s timeless “floating” realm — a threshold where hermits, poets, and phantoms weave their destinies between legend and eternity.
