Some would say it is your duty to stand by your King. In your eyes however, he was not yet a king. He was a charismatic speaker even with the lies about supposedly capturing Wemmbu, but he was no Ashswag.

He really doesn't want to have to end up getting rid of you in the election. He already had convinced Boosfer and Purpled to change from being running candidates to giving him their support. You had refused to do the same, resisting him until the very end.

You were on track to making things as hard for him as Wemmbu. At least you weren't life banning thousands of Law guards with orbital strikes or Maces. Still, you make being King hard for him.

Maybe he just needed to persuade you with a more convincing argument. Not in the public debates viewed by the audience representing the Server people. You were the only one currently holding his attention.
