April 8 and 9: cyberattack on TV5 Monde, showing pro Islamic state messages on their social networks.

June 26: attack in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier in Isère.

November 13: A series of attacks in the Île-de-France region leaves 130 dead and more than 350 injured, a state of emergency is declared. These attacks are the deadliest since the Liberation. Most notably, the attack on the Bataclan.

November 20 : Operation Sentinel is deemed too ineffective and the number of military personnel deployed on the national territory is decoupled, now 40 000.
