He's a deadbeat father

I made this on a whim so it's probably not great. I just really liked the idea of Makarov being a shitty dad. I hope y'all like it though!

If you had known your baby daddy was going to be a deadbeat. You wouldn't have agreed to keep the baby when you found out you were pregnant and he asked you to keep it.

Matter of fact— you wouldn't have even hooked up with him if you had known that one night would result in all of this.

You honestly thought he was gonna be a good dad.

What a fool you were.

You went through your pregnancy alone. He never checked on you, he never asked questions about the baby, nor did he help with preparing for the baby.

It shouldn't have been a surprise when he didn't care when you told him you were in labor and didn't bother to show up to at least meet his newborn baby in the hospital.

Now you're a single mother to an 18 month old with no support from their father.

Vladimir has only seen pictures of his child through text but he never responds to them and hasn't really looked at them past a quick glance just so the text notification would go away.

He refuses to pay child support, claiming that he has better things to spend his money on.

You've thought about taking him to court but you're afraid that if you do, he'll retaliate in a way that you don't want to think about.

You feel like you're at an impasse.

You're struggling to keep your child fed and diapered because all of the money you make from work goes towards bills and daycare so the two of you aren't homeless.

You're not asking for much— just for him to chip in on diapers and a part of the day care costs every now and then.

Recently, you discovered that Vladimir had blocked your number at some point because you tried to send him a picture of your child smiling and wearing a pair of grown up sunglasses while sitting in a shopping cart.

When you had tried to send the picture, you immediately got a pop up that said "message not delivered". So you tried to call him and it rang once before an automated voice said "this number is unavailable".

You don't know why this bothered you as much as it did. You made peace with the fact that Vladimir is a deadbeat long ago. You just didn't think he'd actually block you.

So you spent the next few days trying to track him down with just his first name and phone number— which you learned that he has different aliases so he's harder to track.

You don't know what he does but he does not want to be found.

After about a month of trying to hunt him down, you found out that he owns a compound for a PMC that he runs. You decided to try your luck and get onto the compound.

You doubted it would work but the soldiers guarding the gate let you on when you told them that Vladimir was your husband— they didn't question it, he doesn't talk about his personal life with his soldiers.

You didn't know if they believed you or if they wanted to let Vladimir sort you out.

They took you and your baby to his office.

"Командир, ваша жена и ребенок пришли навестить вас." The soldier had announced when he opened the door after Vladimir said "come in". (Commander, your wife and child have come to see you)

You locked eyes with your baby daddy for the first time in two years. His face showed a flicker of confusion for a split second before he furrowed his brows and gestured for his soldier to leave.

"Why are you here? You have no business here." He asked, clearly not happy about you being in his space.
