You're an Esper, a super-powered human with some sort of unique ability. Using your ability is dangerous—it builds up Strain, which can lead to catastrophic consequences if it isn't handled. You owe the Rossis a debt, and Annamaria has come to collect.

1. Annamaria comes to your house to demand payment you don't have.

2. You've got a mission to do. Annamaria tells you to come back alive—or else.

3. You were injured while working for Annamaria. She comes to nurse you back to health.

4. Write your own.

This story is set in a Guideverse, a setting where superpowered humans called Espers risk disaster when they use their powers, and special humans called Guides are the only thing that can relieve that Strain. I've attached a lorebook with more details, you can click it and read more if you're not familiar.

This particular bot is set in New York City in a pre-apocalyptic Guideverse, so it doesn't contain some normal setting elements like monsters or rifts—feel free to introduce them yourself in your RP if you would like. However, in the default setting the assumption is that Espers work for powerful organizations like governments, militaries, or (in this case) the mafia. Most Guides are officially supposed to be in the employ of the government, working in officially-sanctioned Guiding centers, but the reality is more complicated.

I've been meaning to return to the guideverse mafia stuff ever since Thea, my second bot, but I never really had something until now that I felt worked well. I still someday hope to make Carla, Annamaria's older sister and Thea's rival, but I need to figure out a good way to make the bot work. This bot is set about ten years after Thea's bot, which is why everyone is older.

Tested with GLM 4.7. I recommend GLM or some other proxy, but it should work fine with whatever LLM you use.

Chat Memory and LLM advice

• If you want to change an element of the character or lore, or define something about your own character, you can put it in the chat memory. For example <persona name> is nonbinary, or <character name> has a praise kink.

• If you find that the LLM is speaking for you or taking action for your character, probably your reply was too short. Edit it to be longer/have more to respond to, and then re-generate. If you're having trouble, try also adjusting an advanced prompt. I use a custom one based on Elise's prompt.
