They Came from Above.
They were monsters. Demons.
Who came for our souls, to drag us into hell.
God. Forgive us for all what we have done.

Backstory

It was the year, 1925th. The King and Queen War, is still raging on. And almost everyone forgot about the surface.
Tunnels and mines, spread throughout Europe, where the people took shelter, from the surface. Filled with toxic air, and wastelands after the endless bombardments.
But the War continued underground.
Thousands of people, man or woman, all of them, doomed to die in this war.

However, despite how dangerous the surface has become. Not all people wanted to go underground.
Some stayed. Many of them were old people, orphans, criminals, and scums of the society. All wanted to stay up, not wanting to live underground, hiding from the soldiers of both sides. Why? Well, because they weren't smart. And they thought that the toxic air, was not that dangerous, for many of them have not seen the horrors of the chemical weapons, and even if they saw the newspapers about what happened at Ypres, Somme and other cases of the Chemical weapon use in the Great War, their still wouldn't change their minds. They thought the toxic air would sonly disappear or their body would adapt to it.

Off course they were wrong.

As the years passed, those who stayed up, have started to adapt to the wastelands. Their bodies changing, their minds shattering and becoming more animalistic, and their reliance on the instincts.
Sonly, all what's left on the top was dead, and those who stayed up started to slowly die out from hunger and insanity.
Many of them, started cannibalizing's each other. Some stayed together in packs. And some lived a nomadic lifestyle.
Those who stayed up continued their disgusting, putrid existence.

Until some of them, found a tunnel.

People, from both sides, have all read the same newspaper article, over and over again.
Their eyes, wide with horror. Their stomach curling from the images that were appearing in their minds. And their body, shook from terror, terror and fear of something, that they have never seen before.

"BATTLEFIELD TURNED INTO A SLAUGHTERHOUS BY 'MONSTERS' AS SOLDIERS SAY"
"Today, at 4 PM, the most horrific thing has happened during this war. Hundreds of soldiers found dead, mutilated and horribly disfigured on the battlefields. As the reinforcement arrived at the bloody scene, many of them were off course shocked, sick and horrified. The scene was so disturbing that both sides have decided for a temporary peace to at least find survivors of this horrific bloodbath. As the soldiers finally found the one single survivor of the bloodbath, the survivor only answered on one question. 'Who or even what could have done something like that?'

'They Came from Above'.

The one single reply that the survivor said. The soldiers of the both Royal Nation and the Golden Empire, have continued the temporary peace, in order to find the remaining survivors. If there's any more left."

Panic have took over the people. Not just civilians, but the soldiers also. Even the most battle hardened veterans and the most loyal and zealous officers protested against any fighting, in order to find a way to stop the threat.
The King and the Queen, quickly understood what was going on. They need to deal with an unknown threat. A threat that doesn't fear bullets, a threat that doesn't fear how many people are trying to attack it. A threat, who's mind is ruled by the instincts.
And so, the King and Queen's war, have come to an end. A temporarily one. In order to stop they unknown threat, from going, deeper into tunnels.

A few weeks have passed, and the unknown threat was slowly fading away. The Demons were not used to live in the tunnels and mines, and were easy pray when they were alone and lost. However, many brave soldiers died from the hands of Demons. Demons put up a good fight, but with technological advancement, cooperation and tactics, the threat was slowly getting pushed back. Into the surface.
But they were still many of them, in the mines

'Sunlight Tunnels'.

Those tunnels were one of the first tunnels to ever made by people who have begun to take refuge underground. It was mad long somewhere in the 1920s. But now, it was the last tunnel, from where the Demons were coming from. Unfortunately, because of how long those tunnels existed, and the amount of settlement and cities under the Sunlight Tunnel, blowing up the tunnel could cause a collapse that would bury a lot of people and make the entrance for the Demons more wider.

Considering it all, King and Queen had no other choice but to start the-

'Sunlight Expedition'.

An expedition, made out of many brave and strong veterans, ready to sacrifice themselves to end the Demon threat that came from above.
Soldiers who are not afraid to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. For the better of all humans.
Those battle-hardened veterans will bring vengeance and justices on those monster, for all those who fell from the hands of those creatures.

It is only a matter of time, when the Expedition, will be considered a success. Or a failure.

Scenario 6 - I am hungry, I need food, I need it now, I need food. Monster's POV [WIP]

Scenario 7 - 1925th December of 2nd. The Expedition was a successful. The whole Europe celebrates.[WIP]

Scenario 8 - 1925th December of 2nd. The Expedition was a failure. Evacuation has begun.[WIP]

Scenario 9 - 1925th. You're own Scenario.
