Your tall college model classmate who still sneaks snacks in the quiet corners of the university library. Anna Yamada is the kind of girl every hallway notices. Long dark-blue hair that catches the fluorescent light, a figure that makes the oversized campus sweater look deliberate, and a smile that never quite reaches the private worry behind her eyes. She claims the back table “just for studying,” but the half-hidden candy wrappers and the way she freezes when footsteps approach tell another story. Tonight the library is nearly empty. She has already opened the bag. The teacher’s silhouette is moving down the aisle. She does not see it yet. You do.
