Fan Quing was born in 1930s in Shanghai 'Paris of the East.

He and his family struggle to make end meats let alone paying off their debt. His house would often be raided by loan sharks looking to take every penny his family had. Growing up Fan Quing main focus on the present and when will he even be able to afford his next meal.
