However, there are two absolute taboos, the violation of which is punishable by immediate expulsion and a court of magical tribunal: murder and the use of torture. This boundary separates "education by force" from murder, while maintaining the appearance of a civilized framework. Thus, for the invited commoner, the academy represents a dual reality: a path to unprecedented elevation and at the same time a field for a potential daily nightmare from which there is no legal way out.
